This process is also ideal for instances where additive manufacturing is not sufficiently fast or precise, or coating of substrates in a liquid environment is required.
Advanced demoulding processes for soft hydrogel materials
Ectica’s specialty chemicals manufacturing expertise is concentrated on the production of fully synthetic hydrogel formulations with custom biochemical and physical characteristics for specific applications in pharma, bioresearch and biomanufacturing, including cell therapy. These hydrogel formulations are based on state-of-the-art linear and branched poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) bioconjugates. Biofunctional modules can be used as building blocks to design customized hydrogels following a targeted crosslinking reaction or can be linked to macromolecules such as proteins and antibodies for subsequent bioconjugation processes.
