High-Performance Lightweight Flow-Through Heater

The Watlow FLUENT® In-Line Heater is a compact and lightweight high-performance heater designed to replace traditional immersion heaters or heaters wrapped around tubes. Utilising Watlow’s patented thermal spray technology, it optimizes heat transfer and temperature uniformity by using the entire surface to produce heat. This heater offers several benefits for laboratory and clinical applications, including its small size and low mass, which make it easy to integrate into various systems without adding significant bulk.

Its high watt density provides ultra-fast response times, enhancing overall system performance. Additionally, the FLUENT® In-Line Heater serves as an integrated solution that replaces multiple components in a system, thereby reducing overall cost and complexity. It ensures consistent heating, which is crucial for precise laboratory and clinical processes, and features an internal thermocouple for high limit control, adding safety and reliability. These features make the FLUENT® In-Line Heater an excellent choice for applications requiring precise and efficient heating solutions.

Small Yet Powerful Flow-through Heater

The new high-watt density fast response in-line heater can replace either a traditional immersion-type heater or a heater wrapped around a tube as part of a thermal system. The innovative heater design helps boost performance and reduce overall system expenditure and complexity.

It features a substrate tube made of 444 stainless steel, with fittings and baffles made of 316L stainless steel. Operating at voltages up to 240V and handling up to 15A per zone, this heater offers a high watt density, with typical maximums of 150 W/in² (23 W/cm²) for air and 450 W/in² (70 W/cm²) for water. It can reach a maximum temperature of 662°F (350°C) as measured by an internal thermocouple and withstand pressures up to 150 psi (10.2 bar). Additionally, the resistance tolerance is +10%, -5%, ensuring efficient heat transfer, fast response times, and reliable performance, making it an excellent choice for various thermal applications.

Non-contaminating Heat

The ned flow-through heater features all stainless steel construction for a clean, non‐contaminating heat source. This design is particularly beneficial for applications where maintaining purity and preventing contamination are crucial, such as in laboratory and clinical settings. The stainless steel material ensures that no unwanted particles or impurities are introduced into the system, which is essential for processes that require high levels of cleanliness and precision.
