Clinical Thermal System Components
Watlow’s range of thermal solutions includes:
Advanced Ceramic Heaters
Watlow provides advanced ceramic heaters, which are smaller, more resistant to contamination, respond faster and can be more accurately controlled. These modern ceramic heaters are much easier to integrate into equipment, simplifying the manufacturing and assembly process.
In-Line Heaters
Watlow’s new in-line heater is compact and lightweight, high-performance heater that can replace both a traditional immersion type heater or a heater wrapped around a tube as part of a thermal system.
Solvent-resistant Polyimide Heaters
Watlow’s polyimide heaters are used for DNA analysis equipment and clinical diagnostic instrumentation that requires low outgassing in a vacuum or resistance to radiation, fungus and chemicals.
Silicone Rubber Heaters
Watlow’s fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber heaters are designed to improve heat transfer, speed-up warm-ups and decrease wattage requirements.
Integrated Multi-Function Controllers
Multi-function controllers by Watlow are perfect for use in simple to complex applications, such as DNA processing. When data logging, data storage and communications are critical, multi-function controllers provide primary and secondary temperature control.
Process Controller and Safety Limit
The Watlow process controller and safety limit is a powerful system that integrates a heater with an adjustable set point temperature controller, high/low temperature alert, a power switching device and a high temperature safety limit.
Temperature Sensors
For some applications, such as measuring blood or body fluid temperatures, response to small changes in temperature is critical to patient health. Watlow thermal engineers combine deep knowledge of various applications with material science, thermodynamics, electrical properties and connectivity to develop sensors for specific medical applications.
Rapid Prototyping for Proof Of Concept Testing
Because of Watlow’s broad product offering and proven thermal solutions, we can leverage our experience, expertise and product platforms to quickly provide prototypes. Rapid prototyping enables proof of concept testing and design during your design cycle, which will help you get to market faster than your competition. Many products available in a standard five days or less with a premium one day expedite.
