The 3-D Life technology for generation of biomimetic hydrogels used in 3-D cell culture consists of two polymers forming a hydrogel by covalent crosslinking at ambient temperatures. The choice of very quick or slow gelling gels allows researchers to adapt the gel set-up to many different procedures ranging from single gel to multiwell plate cultures, injections and automated culture set-ups.
