    Identification and screening of novel enzymes for target reactions

    Identification and screening of novel enzymes for target reactions can be based on the selection of candidate enzymes from the EUCODIS collection and through library and database screening.

    To discover the desired enzyme parameters EUCODIS Bioscience begins by developing high-throughput screening assays for custom substrates and reactions. The specific parameters such as activity, selectivity and reaction kinetics can be validated using HPLC-MS or GC-MS analytics for lead enzyme candidates.

    Protein and enzyme analysis

    All enzymes and proteins produced by EUCODIS are fully analysed and characterized using advanced analytical methods carried out under the ISO9001 quality management system. These include, protein analytics, activity analyses with different substrates, purity and contaminant analysis, mass spectrometry and differential scanning calorimetry.

    Innovative enzymatic linker technology 

    Designed by EUCODIS Bioscience, the novel proprietary enzymatic linker technology CTATTM covalently attaches a payload molecule, such as a drug molecule or a dye for diagnostics, to a recombinant antibody, antibody fragment, or protein through a site-specific enzymatic reaction.

    Thanks to this direct conjugation approach the antigen binding site or antibody structure are not altered, producing antibody-drug conjugates (ADC’s) with a defined drug-antibody-ratio (DAR) which have shown superior efficacy in first studies. EUCODIS provides its patented CTATTM technology for licensing on a target basis or as a whole.
