Tick-Taq DNA Polymerase for Greater Sensitivity and High Yields
The Taq DNA Polymerase by Protean is a genetically modified variant of the original Taq DNA polymerase that is enhanced for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) applications. When compared to traditional Taq DNA polymerases, this Tick-Taq DNA Polymerase shows improved sensitivity, greater yields and provides longer PCR products.
With minimal refinement, Tick-Taq DNA Polymerase could be utilized with the same cycle settings as the regular Taq DNA polymerase.
Ultra-pure, High-processivity Recombinant Enzyme
Taq DNA polymerase is an ultra-pure, high-processivity recombinant enzyme. It has the His6 tag, which may be taken off easily for downstream applications. It is engineered with the patented Taq 10x buffer that contains KCl, (NH4)2SO4, and 20 mM MgCl2. 5 U/ul is the concentration.
A typical reaction configuration (25-45 cycles) is as follows: Initial Denaturation : 95°C 1-3min, Denaturation: 95°C 30 s, Annealing: Tm-5°C 30s, Extension*: 72°C 1 min, Final extension: 72°C 5–15 minutes * For PCR products up to 2 kb, a one-minute extension period is advised. The extension time should be increased by 1 minute per kilobyte for longer goods.
Tick-Taq DNA Polymerase Applications
Tick-Taq DNA Polymerase can be utilised for a variety of applications including PCR reactions, PCR labeling and effectively incorporating modified dUTP (Biotin, Digoxigenin, Cy5, Cy3), PCR Mutagenesis, Fill-in reactions, Primer extension and T/A cloning.

The Tick-Taq DNA Polymerase ultra-pure enzyme by Protean is produced in an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified environment and is approved for use in downstream GMP certified manufacturing processes. The His6 tag can be removed easily for these purposes.
