G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer Beads
The G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer Beads are developed to drastically increase microbial DNA output during DNA extraction from challenging matrices, including clay, soil, milk and wine samples.
The G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer’s key function is to reduce inhibitory nucleic acid-particle complexes, which serves to increase the yield of microbial DNA and RNA.
G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer
The application of G2 DNA/RNA Enhancer can be combined with either standard extraction techniques or in conjunction with commercial nucleic acid extraction kits.
The G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer Beads kit is available in freeze dried form with either 0.1mm or 1.4mm ceramic beads in a 2mL tube. It is also available in liquid form, with a choice of three packaging sizes of either 10, 50 or 100 reactions of 500µL.
Increasing Yields of Microbial DNA and RNA from Soils
With the addition of the G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer Beads to the nucleic acid extraction process, microbial DNA/RNA yield can be drastically increased.
There are various difficulties to soil DNA extraction that can impair the yield of the recovered DNA. One of the common issues is that the samples contain very low amounts of DNA and RNA. Moreover, clay frequently contains sorption sinks, which lock up the DNA or RNA once released from the microorganisms following lysis. The G2 DNA/RNA Extraction Enhancer is designed to address these issues and serves particularly well to increase yield from lower biomass samples, as often contained in deeper soil layers. The Enhancer also works with other problematic matrices, such as milk and wine samples.
