Accelerating SARS-CoV-2 PCR Testing
The novel Volcano3G® Direct COVID-19 Kit provides an RT-PCR-based detection method that completely removes the need for time-consuming and costly isolation of viral SARS-CoV-2 RNA.
The elegant solution of skipping RNA extraction is enabled through a thermostable DNA polymerase that is optimised to work with crude samples and directly converts the SARS-CoV-2 genetic material from RNA to DNA. Thereby amplification of the DNA can begin with a single step.
