p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate (pNPP) Tablets – 20mg

GERBU produces p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate (pNPP) Tablets, 20 mg, also known as disodium (4-nitrophenyl) phosphate, a substrate suitable for ELISA assays.

pNPP (p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate, Disodium Salt) is a chromogenic substrate commonly used for the determination of acid and alkaline phosphatases in ELISA applications.

p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate (pNPP) 20mg Tablets

GERBU has developed high-quality, pre-weighed pNPP tablets for faster and more convenient preparation of pNPP-solution. These tablets contain a minimum of 20mg of pNPP (p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate, Disodium Salt) per tablet.

Widely, pNPP (p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate, Disodium Salt) is used as a chromogenic substrate for detecting the activity of alkaline phosphatase in various laboratory applications, including ELISA procedures. This substrate is also used for the determination of acid and alkaline phosphatase in biological samples.

The reaction between alkaline phosphatase and pNPP produces a yellow-colored, water-soluble reaction product, which can be measured spectrophotometrically at 405 nm. To stop the reaction, 3 M NaOH can be used, and the resulting product can be measured at 405nm.

In addition, to 20mg pNPP Tablets, GERBU also offers 5mg pNPP Tablets. The choice between using 20mg or 5mg pNPP tablets will depend on the specific experimental conditions and requirements of the assay. For further advice please contact GERBU’s team.
