Guanidine Hydrochloride (GuHCl) 4x crystallized
Guanidine Hydrochloride (GuHCl) 4x crystallized is a strong chaotropic agent useful for the denaturation and subsequent refolding of proteins.
GERBU’s Guanidine Hydrochloride (GuHCl) 4x crystallized is available in 250g, 1kg and 2.5kg pack sizes.
Guanidine Hydrochloride (GuHCl) 4x crystallized for Molecular Biology
Guanidinium chloride is a strong chaotropic compound with a high solubility in water (6 M, 50 % w/w, in H2O).
Guanidinium hydrochloride, commonly abbreviated GuHCl, is the hydrochloride salt of guanidine. It is a strong chaotrope and one of the most powerful known denaturants for use in physiochemical studies of protein folding. Guanidine hydrochloride can also lower enzyme activity and increase the solubility of hydrophobic molecules.
Application
Guanidinium chloride is a very strong denaturant used in physiochemical studies of protein folding. It also has the ability to decrease enzyme activity and increase the solubility of hydrophobic molecules. It is a RNase inhibitor for mRNA isolation from mammalian cells.
