Input Module Digitalises Measurements for All 4-20mA Analogue Equipment

The 4-20mA Input Module deploys smart technology developed by SenseAnywhere, which enables digital measurement of any analogue equipment with the industry standard 4-20mA output.

Once the 4-20mA Input Module is connected to a third-party sensor, it digitalises analogue data monitoring through the electronics in the connector and sends it via the SenseAnywhere Bus (SAB) interface to an AiroSensor 20-20-43 data logger. The AiroSensor 20-20-43 data logger then transmits all measurements to the secure Cloud environment of the SAClient software.

The main advantage of this technology is that all measurements are available in a single system, which also includes alarm, notification and reporting functions. In the SAClient software interface, alarm conditions can be set according to the users’ requirements and SenseAnywhere will send out notifications whenever these set parameters are met thereby ensuring the safety and quality of products and processes. All monitored data can be accessed in real-time, and the comprehensive audit trails can be downloaded when required.

4-20mA Input Module Offers Independent Measurements

As the electronics components used to establish the measured value are built into the connector, the 4-20mA Input Module can be independently calibrated. Only the 4-20mA Input Module needs to be calibrated, and not the AiroSensor model 20-20-43 to which it is connected, providing for reliable analogue measurements. Numerous configuration options for the parameters that the analogue sensor is measuring are available in the SAClient portal, including unit of measurement, offset and scaling.
