Revolutionary Innovations Unveiled by L.B. Bohle at Interpack

For over 40 years, L.B. Bohle has been at the forefront of technological advancements in the pharmaceutical industry. Now the company is fusing its cutting-edge technology with contemporary aesthetics.

Fusing Cutting-Edge Technology with Contemporary Aesthetics

Thorsten Wesselmann, Executive Director Technology at L.B. Bohle Maschinen und Verfahren GmbH, explains:

“Now the development team has decided to combine premium technology with modern design in the future.”

The L.B. Bohle’s team has dedicated over two years to the engineering and creation of these new machines, with the support of external design specialists. The world premiere of these innovations will take place at Interpack in Düsseldorf this May.

While stainless steel continues to embody durability, robustness, and, when necessary, sterility, the new machines also incorporate dark elements, expressive lines, and enhanced transparency.

Tim Remmert, Executive Director Sales, emphasised:

“The uniform appearance of the new machine generation ensures immediate recognition.”

Alongside the modern aesthetics, the primary focus has been on internal values: user-friendly operation, fast and efficient cleaning, safe processes, transparent workflows, and economical resource utilisation – all incorporating state-of-the-art technology and practices.
True to the Bauhaus motto “form follows function”, cutting-edge technology will continue to represent L.B. Bohle’s DNA in the future.

Thorsten Wesselmann added:

“We have succeeded in packaging top technical performance and features in a modern design.”

L.B. Bohle has selected three outstanding machines, to kick off the redesign:

  • The BRC dry granulator: this machine has been a sales hit since its introduction in 2012.
  • BFC 400 tablet coater: the fastest and most precise in its category and renowned for its exceptional production results and efficiency, this tablet coater is a worldwide bestseller.
  • The QbCon®1 continuous wet granulator and dryer: in 2018, the R&D specialist became the pioneering solution to offer a truly continuous solution for the difficult process of continuous wet granulation and drying.

Executive Director Tim Remmert explained:

“We deliberately chose the complex challenges of these three systems for the new design.”

These references serve as impressive evidence of L.B. Bohle’s technological leadership.
