Rapid Viral RNA/DNA Extraction Kits
Viral RNA and DNA extraction is an inherently slow process but it is key in infectious disease research. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, it can be particularly challenging for laboratories to answer the high demand for SARS-CoV-2 RNA extraction. To help solve this challenge, the BioEcho scientists have engineered a novel method for viral RNA extraction which simplifies the process and allows laboratories to process much higher volumes of PCR tests.
Up to 20 Times Faster Viral RNA/DNA Extraction
With the EchoLUTION Swab Kits, the viral RNA/DNA extraction process is up to 20 times faster compared to the traditional method of silica-based bind-wash-elute procedures. Viral RNA and DNA can be extracted in only one short step, reducing laboratory process time and minimising the risk of errors.
The EchoLUTION technology is built on the unique LyseNtact Lysis Buffer, which allows an immediate disintegration of viral particles. Following that, the RNA extraction uses an incredibly efficient reverse purification and is completed after a single one-minute centrifugation step. The stabilized viral RNA lysate is directly loaded onto the 96-well plate. Debris are removed and viral nucleic acids are recovered with almost 100 % recovery and the highest purity.
SARS-CoV-2 RNA Extraction in Only 5 Minutes
The groundbreaking one-step rapid RNA/DNA extraction kits can facilitate SARS-CoV-2 RNA extraction, or any other viral RNA or DNA, in only 5 minutes. This enables laboratories to achieve a daily throughput of several thousand samples comfortably.
The EchoLUTION viral RNA/DNA Swab Kits are developed for ease-of-use and accelerating in-vitro diagnostics so only standard laboratory equipment is necessary for the whole extraction process.
