Customised Isolator Technology Solutions

BLOCK Technology provides customised isolator technology solutions. The company’s highly flexible, patented BLOCK®-type isolators can be adapted according to specific customer requirements in a short time.

Customised Isolator Technology Solutions

BLOCK’s tailor-made solutions for isolators enable their customers to meet specific project requirements fast. BLOCK Technologies’ design and development department can adapt their unique BLOCK® type-built products or create new ones according to individual project needs. They can also integrate other devices or systems into the isolators, such as reactors, vacuum dryers, containment valves, filling lines, lyophilizators, rapid transfer ports, incubators, sterilizers, etc.

Examples of customisable isolator technology solutions from BLOCK Technology include:

Containment Isolators

The Containment Isolators are specifically designed to ensure personnel (operator) protection during operations. These isolators are ideal for handling toxic substances such as antibiotics, hormones, cytostatics, API, and HAPI. Moreover, they offer the versatility of integrating additional devices like reactors, vacuum dryers, containment valves, and more.

The containment isolators operate in a vacuum atmosphere, distinct from the surrounding environment, providing an added layer of safety. Equipped with a double HEPA filter in the exhaust system, they efficiently remove contaminants. The isolators maintain a turbulent air flow within the “C” purity class (ISO 7), further enhancing their efficiency. With the capability to handle materials up to OEB 5, these Containment Isolators are well-suited for a wide range of applications requiring stringent safety measures.

Aseptic Isolators

The Aseptic Isolators are specifically designed to provide exceptional product protection during various operations. These isolators are commonly employed for working with sensitive materials that require a high level of sterility. They offer the convenience of integrating RTP (Rapid Transfer Port) ports, incubators, sterilizers, and other necessary equipment, making them versatile for diverse tasks. Operating in an over-pressure atmosphere, they create a protective barrier against contaminants from the outside environment.

The Aseptic Isolators are equipped with HEPA H14 filtration at the inlet, ensuring that only purified air enters the isolator. They maintain a controlled laminar air flow at a rate of 0.45 m/s ± 20%, which further enhances the sterility within the working chambers. These isolators achieve an “A” purity class inside the working chambers (ISO 4.8), meeting stringent requirements for aseptic conditions and making them well-suited for critical applications in the pharmaceutical industry.

Aseptic Barrier Isolators

The Aseptic Barrier Isolators serve a dual purpose, providing both personnel and product protection during various operations. They are particularly well-suited for handling toxic substances such as antibiotics, hormones, cytostatics, API, and HAPI (highly active pharmaceutical ingredients), ensuring the safety of both operators and the materials being processed. These isolators offer the convenience of integrating filling lines, lyophilizators, RTP (Rapid Transfer Port) ports, and other essential equipment, making them highly adaptable for a wide range of tasks.

Operating in an over-pressure atmosphere, the Aseptic Barrier Isolators create a protective barrier that keeps external contaminants at bay. They are equipped with HEPA H14 filtration at the inlet, ensuring that only purified air enters the isolator, enhancing the sterile conditions inside. The isolators maintain a controlled laminar air flow at a consistent rate of 0.45 m/s ± 20%, further contributing to the preservation of aseptic conditions within the working chambers.

With an “A” purity class inside the working chambers (ISO 4.8), the Aseptic Barrier Isolators adhere to rigorous standards, making them ideal for critical applications in the pharma industry, where maintaining a sterile environment is of utmost importance. These isolators offer a reliable and secure solution for handling hazardous materials and ensuring the safety and integrity of both personnel and products.
