Pharma Giant J&J ordered to pay man $8bn over breast growth
A Philadelphia jury awarded $8bn in punitive damages against Johnson & Johnson, after its antipsychotic drug, Risperdal, caused teens to develop breast tissue. JNJ stock slipped on the news Wednesday.
The case was brought by Nicholas Murray, 26, of Maryland, who developed abnormal “female breast tissue” after taking Risperdal when younger, according to court records.
